The Colorado Dance Education Organization (CoDEO) is a state affiliate of the National Dance Education Organization (NDEO).

 

The purpose of CoDEO shall be to enrich the lives of the people of Colorado by supporting and promoting dance arts and arts performances through education, communication and advocacy.

Who attends the CoDEO Conference?

The Annual Dance Conference attendees include:

  • Dance students rom Colorado and neighboring states  

  • Selected Colorado All-State Dance Ensemble members

  • National Honor Society for Dance Arts (NHSDA) students 

  • Dance Educators in K-12 public, private, and charter schools 

  • University level teachers from within Colorado and neighboring states 

  • Regional & national choreographers 

  • Regional and national dance administrators and advocates

  • Health professionals

  • Dance product and promotional vendors

You can be part of the conference in many ways:

Attend The Conference Dance Students, Dance Educators and more can attend and participate in workshops and performances. Deadline January 15, 2023

Choreographer - selected choreographers will work with students and set a piece to be performed Sunday evening. Deadline October 7, 2022

 

Workshop Presenter - share your passion for dance education with our attending students or educators! Deadline October 7, 2022

 

Vendor - Universities, dance studios, dance products and more are welcome! Deadline December 9, 2022

 

Colorado Showcase Performer - bring your own work and share it with conference attendees during the Conference Kick-Off performance Saturday evening. Deadline December 9, 2022

Colorado All-State Dance Ensemble - Audition to be chosen as the best of the best and get the opportunity to perform a new work. Deadline November 4, 2022

CoDEO Student Film Festival - Submit your student produced dance film and get the opportunity to be screened at the conference. Deadline December 9, 2022

CoDEO Dance Teacher of the Year - Nominate an exceptional dance teacher and tell us why they deserve to be recognized for their excellence in dance education. Deadline December 9, 2022

CoDEO is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and advocating for dance education in the state of Colorado.  CoDEO provides the dance artist and dance educator a state and national network of resources and support, as well as access to programs and projects that focus on the importance of dance in education.  The purpose of the Colorado Dance Education Organization shall be to enrich the lives of the people of Colorado by supporting and promoting dance arts and arts performances through education, communication and advocacy.
