COLORADO DANCE STANDARDS 

 

 

Colorado Adopted Dance State Standards in 2009. Many of CoDEO's Members were integral to writing these standards.

COLORADO DANCE CURRICULUM PROJECT

In the fall of 2012 multiple dance educators from the state collaborated to translate the Colorado Academic Standards (CAS) for dance into K-12 curricular units. 

 

 

 

COLORADO DANCE COMPANIES


We have a large variety of high quality professional dance in Colorado. The spectrum ranges from classical ballet to cutting edge contemporary work. We have highlighted a few of the companies and encourage all students and educators to follow a few of your favorites, attend a show, and be amazed!

 

Carson Brierly Giffin Dance Library

The Carson-Brierly Dance Library is dedicated to the documentation and representation of the entire spectrum of dance with emphasis on dance in Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region.

Denver Ballet Guild

 

The Denver Ballet Guild is a volunteer organization supporting and celebrating the beauty and power of all types of dance. The mission of the Denver Ballet Guild shall be to stimulate interest in ballet and other forms of dance; to promote dance at all levels; to conduct dance education; to develop audiences; to conduct fundraising activities to support and promote dance and to disburse funds for such purposes.

Boulder's Dance Bridge

 

Dance Bridge is a project of the Boulder Arts Commission, City of Boulder Arts & Cultural services – a dance networking, leadership and service organization, working as a bridge for you, your art and your audience.
