Colorado Dance Education Organization
The Colorado Dance Education Organization (CoDEO) is a state affiliate of the National Dance Education Organization (NDEO).
The purpose of CoDEO shall be to enrich the lives of the people of Colorado by supporting and promoting dance arts and arts performances through education, communication and advocacy.

You can be part of the conference in many ways:

Attend The Conference Dance Students, Dance Educators and more can attend and participate in workshops and performances. Online Registration Deadline January 6, 2026 - In-person registration may be made onsite

Choreographer - CoDEO board invited choreographers will work with students and set a piece to be performed Sunday evening.
Workshop Presenter - share your passion for dance education with our attending students or educators! Submission deadline early September
Vendor - Universities, dance studios, dance products and more are welcome! Contact melissa.codeo@gmail.com if you are interested.
Colorado Showcase Performer - bring your own work and share it with conference attendees during the Conference Kick-Off performance Saturday evening. Submission deadline early November

Colorado All-State Dance Ensemble - Audition to be chosen as the best of the best and get the opportunity to perform a new work. Submission deadline early November

CoDEO Student Film Festival - Submit your student produced dance film and get the opportunity to be screened at the conference. Submission deadline early November

CoDEO Dance Teacher of the Year - Nominate an exceptional dance teacher and tell us why they deserve to be recognized for their excellence in dance education. Submission deadline early November

NEW!! Pre-Conference Dance Party and Film Screening - Join us the Friday before the conference officially starts for a Student Dance Party and Student Film Festival screening. Take this opportunity to meet dancers from around the state, shake out your body from traveling to Pueblo, and celebrate our amazing student films.
CoDEO is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and advocating for dance education in the state of Colorado. CoDEO provides the dance artist and dance educator a state and national network of resources and support, as well as access to programs and projects that focus on the importance of dance in education. The purpose of the Colorado Dance Education Organization shall be to enrich the lives of the people of Colorado by supporting and promoting dance arts and arts performances through education, communication and advocacy.
